There are plenty of options to participate in organised bike
rides in and around Perth and Western Australia. Events for every
skill level and type of bike are available:

- Cycling Touring Association
The Cycling
Touring Association organises regular recreational and cycling
rides around Western Australia. Their Riding the Wave event is a
must on October 1st, 2011.
Perth
Integrated Health Cycling Group conduct cycling events
throughout the year, designed for all levels.
Off Road Mountain Biking
- Munda Biddi Trail Foundation
The Munda Biddi Foundation maintains an
Events page, with a variety of rides aimed at all skill levels.

The
Cape to Cape 4 day mountain bike race through the Margaret
River region is fast becoming an iconic event. It will be held from
Thursday October 20th - Sunday October 23rd, 2011
The Kep track is one of the finest offroad tracks. The Perth
Integrated Health Cycling Group is co-ordinating a ride on the
Kep Track on May 29th, 2011.
Road/Racing/Triathlon
- Bicycling Western Australia
Bicycling Western Australia organises road rides for the
lycra-brigade or the novice rider, including the Cyclo Sportif series.
On May 15th, a new 'Flagship' event will be held to ride across
the Garden Island Causeway to the HMAS Stirling Naval Base.
Triathlon WA publishes an
Events Calendar with a variety of excellent events conducted in
Perth and throughout Western Australia.

Garland Cycles group rides
Nearby Garland
Cycles conducts regular early morning group rides, commencing
from their shop in South Perth. These rides are free of charge and
for all cycling levels from Beginner to Advanced. Rides conclude
with a coffee and muffins.

The Annual HBF Freeway Bike
Hike for Asthma is held in March every year.
Bike Skills and Education
- Perth Integrated Health Cyling Group
PIHC are involved not only in providing training and courses,
they organise events and specialise in rehabilitation from injury.

- Chain Reaction Training

Learning the riding and training skills required to be a
successful road cyclist is the specialty of Chain Reaction Training. Their
motto is 'turning bike riders into cyclists'.
Many City Councils around Perth have a Travelsmart Officer, who
conducts Bike Skills classes. The City of Stirling has been
particularly successful in teaching some Seniors to ride for the
first time in their lives through their
Women on Wheels Program.
