Dolphin Link

by Geoff 22. August 2011 23:44

Dolphins are often seen in the Swan River behind About Bike Hire. Kayak and bike hirers alike are encouraged to report sightings to Dolphin Watch. This will assist the River Guardians program to protect this most beautiful Perth resident. Sightings of the new dolphin calf born just 3 weeks ago would be particularly important.

The new Tourers are a hit!

by Geoff 23. April 2011 01:42

Our new touring bikes have had rave reviews. They have been successfully ridden all over Australia, covering hundreds or even thousands of kilometres without even a flat tyre. Thanks to everyone who has sent us their photo's - they give all of us a real buzz and we can never have too many.

Another Award!

by Geoff 22. April 2011 08:22

About Bike Hire is proud to be the recipient of the 2011 Disability Services Commission Affiliate of the Year award. This was presented by the Honourable Minister for Mental Health, Helen Morton in a ceremony attended by about 100 of our valued customers and the Easter Bunny!

We have worked hard for nearly 20 years to provide a service to customers that have a disability and it is gratifying to receive recognition in this way.

This follows our acceptance of the 2010 WA Disabled Sports Association Award. This was a fine way to recognise the support we have always given to disabled clients and their carers. The quadcycles in particular give many the opportunity to get some exercise whilst enjoying the fabulous Perth bike paths.

by Geoff 25. December 2010 01:59

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to cycle on the renowned Munda Biddi Trail from Perth to Nannup?

Esther from Byron Bay has prepared a beaut Blog which she has generously shared with us.

The photo's are stunning and her experiences working in the tourism industry have resulted in an easy-to-read Blog that makes you feel every bump on the Trail, as well as sampling the great experiences to be had. Our Giant Yukon bikes and BOB trailers have once again proved to be up to the challenge!

The Singapore Cycling Group enjoyed their visit

by Geoff 28. October 2010 04:27

We had a very enjoyable trip and it was made more memorable by people like yourselves (Dave, Jan and Liam) who showed us the true Aussie spirit. The Bicycle ride down the Swan River was a triple A+. We will remember Perth for that.

Peter from the UK has returned again to ride around Perth

by Geoff 28. October 2010 04:26

Well I'm back home, but I came back with fantastic memories pictures and video of my holiday. Thankyou for your help, hiring that bike was one of the best aspects of my Australian trip. I saw so much more than hiring a car or using buses: I took over 1300 pictures many from the bike.

My favorite ride was around Rottnest, stopping at several completely deserted beaches, but to be honest I enjoyed all my rides, even a couple in the rain. I'm fairly certain I will be coming back in the next couple of years but this time for longer and even more cycling as there were other places I would have liked to have gone to, for example the upper Swan Valley.
